Color: Multicolor
I read alot of the other reviews and was afraid to order, because there are comments and photos of many customers' pots and/or lids being damaged and bent, but I took a chance and ordered it. Well, I'm glad I did. First of all, I absolutely love the colors. That was my primary reason for ordering it, because originally, I planned to order a more expensive pot/pan set, but I saw this cheaper set, and I saw that it was a multi-colored set, and I love colors (and often get bored with the fact that when you do order a pot set, the set is usually matching, and you're seeing the same colors over7i and over on all of your pots) so I fell in love with the look. Colors are bright and vivid. I will say though that the red pan is actually more of red-ORANGE, in my opinon, which was fine with me. I actually expected to like the red pan the least when I read the colors before ordering, because I've used multiple red sets already before and am bored with that color of pots; however, it was more orangish, so I really do like that. Inspecting the inside of the pots of pans, I see no scratches on the interior. Also before ordering, I noticed that another reviewer had mentioned something about wiping out the pots/pans with a papertowel and when she took the paper towel away, there was black stuff from the interior all over it. Well, I did take a paper towel and wipe around in two of them (not the whole set) and am happy to report there was no black stuff on the papertowels. The set does come with a manual. Although these are not anywhere near cast iron pans, the manual does have instructions on how to "season" them with oil and how often. I saw that some other reviewers mentioned that the felt the pots were a bit on the smaller side. Well,
I will say if you are used to buying huge expensive pots sets or if you have a really really big family, that these will probably be a little small for you; however, it's just myself and my boyfriend, so the sizes are perfect. But even inspecting the size of them, they are the same size as other pots sets that I used in the past where I was able to easily cook a meal for 4 or 5, so I'm not really understanding what other people are saying when they're complaining they're too small. They're really not that small....you have to take into account the size of the pot/pan, and what it's supposed to be used for. Isn't that the point of different pot sizes for differents food items? For example, the blue one is quite large, but yes, the little black fry pan and the pink and blue ones are smaller....as is expected. I'd expect to heat cans of vegetables or sauce in the smaller pots and cook things such as stews or boil noodles and things in the larger pot. A few bad things: there was a small black gash on the outside of the red-orange frying pan, but that was the only scratch I found on the whole set, and it's not super noticeable, so it didn't bug me very much. I did notice that the inner rim of the large glass lid was a tad bent in one little area; however, it's such a small bend that it doesn't affect at all how the lid fits onto the big blue pot. Nothing like in the pictures that I see others have uploaded. I checked all lids with their respective pots and everything fit fine. Nothing broken. Not sure if the utensils that came with the pots are flimsy, but that's not a big concern for me so much as making sure the pots were okay, because if they do turn out to be flimsy, I can always run to the store and get more utensils. Utensils are plentiful. That's not a big thing. I haven't cooked with them yet, so I can't say whether or not they do a good job yet, but with the interior being smooth, I can't imagine that if you follow the manual's directions to "season" them regularly, that they wouldn't hold up okay. Overall, the set was $40, so I'm not expecting Rachel Ray magic or whatever huge name brand pot set one might use. On a last note, as mentioned in the beginning of this review, there did happen to be MANY reviews where the pot sets were bent up. I was looking for the most recent review before I ordered...to see if the ones that were being sent out RECENTLY were bent up...but I know everyone doesn't leave reviews. So I'm leaving this for someone who is looking at the set and trying to decide if they want to order it. Although there are MANY pictures of others' sets being bent, like I said, I really had no problem with that...
so I'm not sure if I just got lucky, or maybe the quality control has now gotten better before they're being shipped to people. All in all, I'm happy I decided to purchase.
